RECAP |

Key Chapters & Segments in Joseph’s Life

A.   Dreamer.
B.   Rejected by his brothers.
C.   Sold as a slave in Potiphar’s house.
D.   Wrongly accused and thrown into prison. (Joseph lost his coat, but he kept his character)
E.    Interpreter of dreams! (chief cupbearer and chief baker)
The cupbearer forgot him, but God did not!
F.    The radical elevation of Joseph. (Joseph’s rise to power)
G.   The naming of Joseph’s two sons – Manasseh & Ephraim (to forget & fruitful)
H.    The restoration of relationship between Joseph and his brothers through a series of extraordinary events

This is far more than a story about Joseph; ultimately Joseph’s life mirrors, parallels & acts in symmetry to the life of Jesus Christ. In fact, Joseph is one of the most Christ-like figures in the Bible!

IN THE CROSSING OF JACOB'S HANDS, WE SEE A PICTURE OF THE CROSS

1.    The sinner’s birth order is reversed when he or she trusts Jesus Christ, for it’s the second born whom God receives, not the firstborn.

2.    It is through the cross that God crucified the old nature and now sets aside the natural that He might establish the spiritual.

3.    When you are born again, God rearranges your spiritual “birth order.”

TAKE AWAY | ALL OF THIS IS MADE POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF OUR LORD'S SACRIFICE ON THE CROSS
